Bank of England
--BOE was give sole responsibility for setting interest rate in 1997, losing the responsibility of surpervising individuals banks to Financial Services Authority (FSA).
--But it retained a role of maintaining stability of financial system
--Both BOE and FSA work with British Treasury through a Tripartite Standing Committee in dealing with financial crisis.
