NonFarm Productivity 1.6% and labor cost 6.6% for 4Q in 2006
annualized rate at 1.6%, higher than expected, but down from 3% pace government reported last month. Productivity signals efficiency, having a long-term impact. 6.6% labor cost reflects one-time bonus.
